Christiana Technology Crew
CTC is responsible for morning announcements, bus room duty, movies, slideshows, videos, commercials, t-shirt/poster design, heat press and other audio/visual/graphic design needs of the school. This club's mission is to not only help the school with electronic technology needs, but also to focus on developing essential skills of problem solving, analytic thinking, and learning how to focus, concentrate and communicate effectively. Students must maintain a "C" average. Any students with skills or interest in PowerPoint, Movie Maker, iMovie, Audacity, Photo Shop, Print Shop and any other audio/visual/graphic design programs are encouraged to see Mrs Powell.

National Manufacturing Day Tours
For the 4th year, the Rutherford County Chamber/Rutherford Works is celebrating National Manufacturing Day facilitating tours with key manufacturing partners. The purpose of the tours is to expose students to the many different STEM careers available in our local community. We believe that this type of exposure increases a student’s awareness of career options and educational pathways available to them in high school and beyond. We went to Calsonic Thermal Plant in Shelbyville on Friday, October 14. It was a fun and interesting trip. Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce- Rutherford County!!!!

22 members of the CTC celebrated National Manufacturing Day by touring Southeastern Technology in Murfreesboro. Students learned about how SE Tech designs, builds and integrates custom automated and robotic equipment for just about anything including medical supplies like replacement body parts!!!!!

We had a great time learning about iMovie and how to make videos. All the students made short videos using yearbook pictures and music clips. We put them together and the combined video is being shown before the pledge and morning announcements each morning over the closed circuit TV here at CHMS.

Community Service Projects
Last year, we donated $100 towards our Angel Program we have here at CHMS. We will vote on the amount this time at our November meeting.

We went to the new Apple Store at Cool Springs Galleria to learn about making videos with the new iMovie program. Our videos are now on the introduction to the morning announcements each morning. Good Job!!
